2) The treatment of leg ulcers needs to be carried out by nurses with advice from specialist wound care nurses if necessary. 3) The treatment of leg ulcers varies from patient to patient as the care depends on the type of ulcer and the preferences of the treating doctor but usually requires special dressings and/or ointments. 4) Bunbury Hospital does have the necessary equipment, dressings and ointments and the skilled staff to carry out treatment of leg ulcers unless there are underlying health issues which require the patient to be transferred to a tertiary hospital in the metropolitan area.
