Hon Ray Halligan asked the Minister for Health about outstanding creditor payments for the Department of Health and the Office of Health Review as of December 31, 2006. DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH (1) On 21 December 2006, all creditors in the Oracle Financial system with outstanding amounts due for payment on or before 28 December 2006 were paid. Payment was made for 3,728 creditors with a total value of $75,488,605. Of this total payment, 61 creditors (1.6%), with a total value of $152,868 (0.2%) had been outstanding for greater than 120 days. (2) Expenditure Officers are required as part of their duties to reconcile creditor statements on a monthly basis and to contact creditors if there are any outstanding amounts or invoice anomalies.
