Hon. Tjorn Sibma questions the Premier regarding the appointment and termination processes for government boards and committees, specifically whether cabinet approval is always required and if terminations are reported. The Premier's representative confirms cabinet approval is needed as per Premier's Circular 2017-08, terminations are not reported, and no such terminations occurred recently.

GOVERNMENT BOARDS AND COMMITTEES —
APPOINTMENTS
1225. Hon TJORN SIBMA to the Leader of the House representing
the Premier:
I refer to the McGowan government's
methodology for making appointments to boards and committees.
(1) Are all such appointments
contingent on cabinet's approval?
(2) Is the
termination of an individual's board or committee tenure within the
term of their appointment reportable to the Premier or cabinet?
(3) Have any such
terminations occurred in the last month, and was the Premier or cabinet advised
of those terminations?
