YORK–MERREDIN ROAD — UPGRADE
243. Hon COLIN TINCKNELL to the minister representing the
Minister for Planning:
I refer to a media statement put
out by the Premier's office on 3 October 2018, which refers to $530 000
being designated to upgrading the York–Merredin road.
(1) Can the
minister inform me what road this actually refers to, as the records show that
there is no such road as the York–Merredin road?
(2) If the
Premier's office is referring to the Quairading–York Road, has
the $530 000 already been spent and the upgrades completed; and, if not —
(a) when are these upgrades expected to commence and
by what date are they expected to be completed;
(b) to which section of the road
shall these upgrades occur; and, if yes;
(c) are any
further upgrades planned in order to adequately accommodate sections of the
road that still present a danger to road users and their vehicles; and, if not,
why not?
