minister representing the Minister for Local Government:
I refer to the
funding of goods and services for local government.
(1) Has the
Department of Local Government and Communities, either independently or with
royalties for regions funding, funded any local government authority or regional
collaboration group to purchase goods and/or services from CAM Management
Solutions?
(2) lf yes to
(1) —
(a) which
local government authorities or regional collaboration groups were funded;
(b) for each
authority or group identified in (a), how much funding was provided;
(c) what goods
and/or services were purchased; and
(d) when were
the funds granted?

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of this question.
(1) Yes.
(2) (a) The
Kimberley Regional Collaborative Group.
(b) The
Kimberley Regional Collaborative Group received $170 000 to complete a regional
business plan. Of this amount, the Kimberley Regional Collaborative Group
engaged the services of CAM Management Solutions for a total of $38 945.
(c) Developing
an implementation plan for the regional business plan, integrated with the
other local governments' integrated planning and reporting documents.
(d) Funds were
approved to the Kimberley Regional Collaborative Group in June 2011. It is
noted that CAM Management Solutions was not engaged by the group until February
2012.
