ROAD BRIDGE
238. Hon SAMANTHA ROWE to the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the works being carried out by Main Roads on the
Garratt Road Bridge in Ascot and the Minister for TransportXXX ###XXXs
response to question without notice 10.
(1) Has the completion date for the works of 15 March been
met?
(2) If not, why not; and what is the new estimated completion
date?

I thank the member
for some notice of this question.
(1)–(2) The third and final section
of the footpath replacement involved more work than was originally envisaged,
as greater deterioration of the supporting timber became evident once the final
section of existing concrete footpath was lifted. It is due to be completed by
the end of March.
