PERTH CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL — PARKING
851. Hon SUE ELLERY to the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to parking at the new Perth Children's
Hospital.
(1) Of the 300
bays in the underground section of the Perth Children's Hospital
building, how many will be available for —
(a) ACROD permit holders;
(b) visitors;
(c) clinicians; and
(d) other hospital staff?
(2) For the same categories used in (1), how many parking
bays are currently provided —
(a) at Princess Margaret Hospital
for Children; and
(b) of the
total 5 183 car park bays across the entire Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre
site?
(3) How many
of the total 5 183 parking bays across the QEII site will be reserved for use
by Perth Children's Hospital?
(4) What is
the current maximum daily and hourly rate for parking by visitors and staff at
Princess Margaret Hospital?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1) (a) Twenty-five parking bays;
(b) Three-hundred parking bays,
including the 25 ACROD permit bays; and
(c)–(d) Nil parking bays.
(2) (a) � Thirteen ACROD permit bays; 152 visitor bays,
including 12 ACROD permit bays; and 356 staff bays, including one ACROD permit
bay. Clinicians and other staff are not separated.
� (b) There are currently 4 691 parking bays at
the QEII site with 120 ACROD permit bays, including 70 shared ACROD permit
bays, six staff-only ACROD bays and 44 visitor-only ACROD bays; 1 522 visitor
bays and 3 049 staff bays. Clinicians and other staff are not separated.
(3) Nil parking bays.
(4) Sixty cents per hour uncapped
for visitors, and a $3.70 daily fixed fee for staff.
