(1) In relation to recent amendments to the
Environmental Protection Act 1986
regarding declaration of Environmentally Sensitive Areas (ESA) through regulation, I ask:
(a) in drafting new regulations regarding ESAs what consultation will occur regarding the
form of the regulations:
(i) with whom will that consultation occur?
(2) Will new Regulations be finalised and gazetted before letters are sent to land owners who have an ESA on their property:
(a) and if yes, will the Regulations be included with the letter?
(3) Will the Minister or the Department be seeking to declare every existing ESA under the new regulations:
(a) if not will landowners who will no longer be affected by an ESA be notified of that?
