WHITFORDS TRAIN STATION
I refer to the announcement by the Premier on 2 May 2007 about additional car parking facilities at the Whitfords train station. Will the minister give a guarantee that the land immediately west of the northern off-ramp of Mitchell Freeway to Whitfords Avenue and/or the land immediately east of the southern on-ramp from Whitfords Avenue to Mitchell Freeway will not be used for these extra car parking bays? I thank the member for some notice of this question. It is proposed to discuss with the residents, both in the immediate area and wider afield, the possibility of having this road reserve used as park and ride.
