I refer to the former Minister Templeman's statement that the Western Australian (WA) Government has "authorised an independent review that will consider what resources the State Records Commission and State Records Office require to meet their obligations under the Act”, and I ask: (a) what is the status of this review; (b) who is conducting the review; (c) which government agency is responsible for the review; (d) when will it report back to the WA Government; (e) when will the review be made public; and (f) in reference to (e), if not, why not?

(a)          The review is ongoing.
(b)-(c)     The Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC) engaged FTI Consulting as the independent reviewer.
(d)          The final report and recommendations is anticipated to be provided to the Minister for Creative Industries for consideration during the second half of 2025.
(e)-(f)     This internal to government review will assess the operation of the State Records Office in accordance with the functions set out in the State Records Act 2000 .
