(1)-(2) The issue the member raised is one of a number of issues I am currently considering. The member has highlighted one of the problems in a number of those assistance packages. The packages do not provide an adequate spread of state and other assistance for home buyers in areas where housing is at a premium and housing costs are high. I want the Ministry of Housing to assist me in the preparation of some policy initiatives that would provide a better spread of financial assistance for people under a variety of schemes, including that which the member mentioned.
