(1 - 4). The State Government remains committed to providing the optimal mix and level of mental health, alcohol and other drug services required in Western Australia, in accordance with the actions outlined in the Western Australian Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drug Services Plan 2015-2025: Better Choices. Better Lives (Plan).
The Plan recommends the commencement of the development and implementation of a new alcohol and other drug residential treatment service (36 beds) in the South West by the end of 2017.
Planning for the residential rehabilitation treatment service is in progress and is required to inform the associated costs and funding requirements. The plan is funder and provider neutral. The allocation of funding for the construction and operation of services is subject to approval through normal Government budgetary processes.
