PERTH CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL — ICT
EXPENDITURE
344. Hon SALLY TALBOT to the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Health:
This question was asked by Hon Samantha Rowe, who has had to leave the
chamber on urgent parliamentary business. I refer to the need for an
extra $181.9 million for information and communications technology at the new
Perth Children's Hospital, outlined in the 2013–14 Government Mid-year Financial Projections
Statement .
(1) Will the
difficulties identified, which now require additional funding, affect the
opening date of Perth Children's Hospital?
(2) Will the Minister for Health
guarantee that Perth Children's Hospital will open on time?
(3) If the
hospital does not open on time, can the minister advise as to any financial
liabilities impacting on the state as a result of the delays?
