I refer to the RAC 'Risky Roads Survey 2024/25', and the results in relation to the top 10 risky roads in regional Western Australia, and I ask: (a) for the Bussell Highway at the Cowaramup section: (i) how many serious crashes occurred at the identified locations in 2024; (ii) how many fatal crashes occurred at the identified locations in 2024; and (iii) noting that the road was also listed in the 2022 'Risky Roads' summary, what steps have been taken, or are being planned, to remediate risk along the identified area?

a)
(i-ii)           Nil.
(iii)            The speed zone on Bussell Highway, through the Cowaramup townsite, has been reduced to 40km/h.
In 2024, a painted median with rubber kerbing was installed in the town centre to improve pedestrian safety.  The effectiveness of the treatment is being assessed visually and via community feedback, to help inform Main Roads if any further treatments are required.
