a) The victim was first consulted on the day the offence was committed. That date was 3 April 2000. Since that occasion, investigating officers have spoken personally with the complainant on a number of occasions. Those occasions include 4 April, 5 April, 7 April, 8 April, 18 April and through his wife on 17 May 2000. During these consultations the complainant has been constantly updated with regards to the status of the ongoing police investigation. b) The officer in charge of this particular investigation will interview persons of interest at a time to be determined in consultation with his Manager at Claremont Detectives Office. The complainant has been apprised of why interviews cannot and should not proceed at this time. c) For the reasons explained, there is no reason for me to be concerned at this point in time, as it would appear that the investigators have this matter well in hand. d) Not applicable.
