BUSINESS DISRUPTION
768. Mr R.S. LOVE to the Premier:
I have a supplementary question. As
head of government, what is the Premier doing to ensure adequate oversight of
major projects such as the Armadale line given the project blowouts identified
by the Auditor General?

I was talking about oversight of
major infrastructure projects just a short while ago and pointed out that the
member for Vasse was repudiating that independent oversight. I am not quite
sure what stock the Leader of the Opposition actually places in that oversight.
It seems that opposition members like oversight if it provides a helpful
critique for the government and they dismiss it as political trickery if it
says that the government is doing a good thing. We just cannot win, but I suspect
that really goes to the opposition's motives on this issue.
