I refer the Minister to the answer provided to Legislative Council question on notice 1844 of 2005, and ask -
In the same format as the response provided to question 1844, can the Minister please provide updated information for each prison facility in regard to the following for the years 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 -
(1) How many prisoners were tested for drug use, both as a total number and as a percentage of the prison population?
(2) What was the number of prisoners that tested positive for illegal drug use, both as a number and a percentage of the prison population?
(3) On how many occasions were illegal drugs found and seized?
(4) What substances and quantities were involved?
(5) How many prisoners were involved in drug treatment programs, both as a number and a percentage of the prison population?
(6) How many prisoners were involved in drug awareness programs, both as a number and a percentage of the prison population?
(7) On how many occasions were illegal weapons found and seized?
(8) What type of weapons were involved?
(9) On how many occasions were quantities of money found and seized?
(10) What was the quantity involved?
