I refer to the $118 million allocated in the
State Budget 2014–15 for the Leach Highway-Carrington Street to Stirling
Highway upgrade and ask: (a) does this
allocation of funds include noise amenity walls along Stirling Highway from the
High Street intersection north to Canning Highway, and if not, why
not; (b) please detail where the noise
amenity walls will be installed and the timeline for this installation;
and (c) Question Without Notice No. 148
said noise testing is planned as part of the High Street-Stirling Highway
upgrade, has this been completed yet, and if yes, what were the results from
the testing?

(a)-(b) The Leach Highway (High Street) Fremantle Upgrade project is now part of the Perth Freight Link project. The scope of the new project is still being determined including the location of any required noise walls.
(c) Yes. However as the Leach Highway (High Street) Fremantle Upgrade project is now part of the Perth Freight Link, this will require re-modelling to take into consideration the new project scope.
