I refer to a recent review of the use of All Terrain Vehicles (ATV's) by the State Emergency Service volunteers, and I ask:
(a) when was the review conducted, by whom and what organisation was the review conducted;
(b) what was the cost of the review;
(c) what was the outcome of the review;
(d) if the review recommended that State Emergency Service volunteers no longer use ATV's what alternatives are under consideration; and
(e) are you aware that WA Police are still using ATV's?

The Fire and Emergency Services Authority advises:
(a) The review is ongoing and is being conducted by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
(b) As the review is not yet complete costs have not been finalised however it is estimated to be in the order of $15,000.
(c) Not applicable
(d) Alternatives may be considered subject to the outcome of the review.
(e) Yes
