(2) In reference to (1), is the Minister aware that an updated plan was prepared by the public service and the Air Quality Coordinating Committee in 2023? (3) Is the Minister aware that the former Minister for the Environment told the Council that this new plan, referenced in (2), would be released in 2023? (4) Why has this plan, referenced in (2), not been released so far? (5) When will the Minister release this long overdue update to the Perth Air Quality Management Plan?

(4)-(5) I refer the Member to the response to Question on Notice No. 2117 asked in the Legislative Council on 13 August 2024. The Air Quality Coordinating Committee completed its review of the Perth Air Quality Management Plan in 2023. With data showing Perth’s air quality remains healthy, the State Government is continuing the implementation of the existing Perth Air Quality Management Plan which is publicly available on the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation’s website.
