(b) if not, will the Minister now ask the Police Commissioner to exercise his powers under the Community Protection (Offender Reporting) Amendment Bill 2005 to immediately have this person’s name included on the Sex Offender’s Register; and (i) if not, why not?
(a) Under the provisions of the Community Protection (Offender Reporting) Act 2004, the person concerned does not qualify for the register. (b) I have raised this matter with the Commissioner of Police and it is being progressed.
