GAZETTED ROADS — CLOSURE
I refer to gazetted roads being closed. (1) Can a local authority take an unmade gazetted road off the town planning scheme? (2) What process would a local authority have to undertake to do that? Hon LJILJANNA RAVLICH

I thank the honourable member for some notice of this question. (1)-(2) The Local Government Act 1995 empowers local governments to close public roads. The act has no specific powers relating to the removal of gazetted roads from a town planning scheme.
