Regarding a proposal to establish a recycling and timber industry in the Pilbara Region of Western Australia, the Minister has stated in a letter to the proponent, Mr Shayne Allison, (dated April 8 2005), that there is no State Government financial assistance available for this project -
(1) Can the Minister provide the reasons given for this comment?
(2) Does the Minister consider there are sustainable benefits to the Pilbara Region and Western Australia as a whole from this project?
(3) If no to (2), why not
(4) Does the Minister consider this proposal worthy of support?
(5) If yes to (4), will the Minister propose a way of providing support to this project?
(6) If no to (4), why not?
