HOUSING —
OPENING DOORS INITIATIVE
962. Hon ADELE FARINA to the minister representing the
Minister for Housing:
I refer to a statement in the Bunbury Mail on 30 October 2013 that 1 000 families had realised
the dream of owning their own home through the Opening Doors initiative.
(1) How many of the 1 000 families reside in —
(a) Bunbury;
(b) greater Bunbury;
(c) Busselton; and
(d) the South West Region
electorate?
(2) How many
of the 1 000 properties were Department of Housing properties previously
available as public housing?
(3) How much money was generated from the sale of these
properties?
(4) How much
of the money generated from the sale of the 1 000 properties was paid into
consolidated revenue, and how much was quarantined with the Department of Housing
for the provision of additional public housing?
(5) How many
properties have been purchased with the money generated from the sale of the 1 000
properties?
(6) In relation to (5), for each property state —
(a) the cost of the property;
(b) the type of the property;
(c) the size and R-code zoning;
(d) whether
the property when purchased contained a dwelling that was fit and ready for
habitation or needed to be redeveloped;
(e) how many people can reside at
the property; and
(f) the location?
The PRESIDENT : In answer to that concise question, the
Minister for Agriculture and Food.
