822. Hon DONNA FARAGHER to the minister representing the
Minister for Community Services:
I
refer to the answer provided to question without notice 552, asked on 28 May
2024, regarding financial counselling service providers funded by the
Department of Communities, which stated —
Service agreement extensions are
expected to be finalised prior to 30 June 2024.
(1) Can the
minister advise whether service agreement extensions for the 2024–25
financial year have now been signed?
(2) If yes to
(1), how much funding will each service provider receive in the 2024–25
financial year and when does their service agreement expire?
(3) If no to (1), when will the
service agreement extensions be finalised?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The following response has been provided by the
Minister for Community Services.
(1)–(3) The
Department of Communities advises that on 17 June 2024, letters of variation
were sent to all service providers,
extending financial counselling services service agreements for a further three
years to 30 June 2027.
I
have the listing of funding by service provider in tabular form, and I seek
leave to have it incorporated into Hansard .
