TAXIS —
COMPLIANCE OFFICERS
171. Hon ALANNA CLOHESY to the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
(1) Are taxi
compliance officers expected to provide their full name and title when
introducing themselves to taxidrivers on the job?
(2) If no to (1), why not?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1) Yes;
compliance officers are required to state their first name, state that they are
from the Department of Transport and show their identification card. The
identification card clearly indicates their first name and surname and
identifies them as an authorised officer.
(2) Not applicable.
