management initiated redundancy or retirement (MIR) is a long-standing Government policy that involves a mutually negotiated agreement between an employer and employee to bring a contract of employment to an end.
Public Transport Authority
(a) Nine.
The PTA has included those employees who took advantage of the Government's voluntary severance offer in relation to the 3% productivity cuts. Each of the nine positions listed was abolished, and an appropriate business case supporting the abolition of each role was submitted for approval by Government for each MIR.
(b) Customer Information Officer.
Business Analyst.
Manager Corporate Issues and Compliance.
Customer Relations Executive.
Recruitment Support Officer.
Personnel Officer Transperth Train Operations.
Labour Relations Officer.
Above Establishment Officer.
Records Customer Services Officer.
(c) A total of $837 560 in severance payments has been approved.
(d) None.
Main Roads
(a) No officers at Main Roads WA have received management - initiated redundancies.
(b)-(d) Not applicable.
Disability Services Commission
(a) No Disability Services Commission staff have received a management-initiated redundancy.
