(2) The Police Service advise 66.3% of assaults were reported between the hours of 10.00pm and 4.00am on Thursday night/Friday morning, Friday night/Saturday morning and Saturday night/Sunday morning. (3) The Police Service advise the number of calls for police assistance relating to ‘disturbances’ and ‘assaults’ at or outside hotels or nightclubs is as follows: 2001 150 2002 155 2003 141 (4) The Police Service advise the most identified premises (that is those with greater than ten calls for police attendance) are as follows: New Port Hotel Metropolis Nightclub Zanzibar Rosie O’Grady’s National Hotel Esplanade Hotel The Bog The Clink Club Sail & Anchor Hotel Seaview Tavern Moondyne Joes Hotel Orient Hotel The Police Service further advise that 20% of the calls occurred between 10.00pm and 3.59am Friday to Saturday. (5) Yes (6a) The Police Service advise hours of duty vary dependent on identified needs with respect to direct policing of licensed premises.
