Has the Minister or the Ministerial Chief of Staff provided any direction, instruction or advice to their Ministerial staff or Agencies relating to contact with any individual or company on the Register of Lobbyists, and if so: (a) what was the wording or nature of the direction, instruction or advice; (b) who received the direction, instruction or advice; (c) how was the direction, instruction or advice disseminated; and (d) if the direction, instruction or advice was via letter or email, please table the document?

(a-d) Ministerial staff were instructed during an internal induction staff meeting on 11 April 2017 on protocol regarding the Ministerial Code of Ethics, including requirements in relation to contact with lobbyists, both listed and not listed on the Register of Lobbyists.
No direction has been given to the Agencies within my portfolio as they are all required to comply with the provisions of the Integrity (Lobbyist) Act 2016 and the Public Sector Commissioner’s Instruction No. 16 – “Government representatives contact with registrants and lobbyists”.
