I refer to the Minister for Energy's press release of 6 July 2010, entitled WA trials first smart meters in Perth's eastern region, and I ask:
(a) what is the cost of each smart meter, and as an average, how much does it cost to install each smart meter?
(b) Of the $15 million allocation to this trial, how much cost is allocated to:

(ii) costs for installation of smart meters into 8,900 homes;

(iv) other expenses; and
(c) how many smart meters have been installed in houses as part of the trial referred to in the Minister's press release;
(d) how many smart meters are currently in storage and unused as part of the trial, and where are these meters stored;
(e) when will the trial be completed;
(f) when will a report on the trial be available; and
(g) at this stage in the trial, has there been any identifiable change in electricity consumption patterns by the consumers with smart meters?
