GRIFFIN COAL — GRANTS
1469. Hon Dr STEVE THOMAS to the minister representing the
Minister for State and Industry Development, Jobs and Trade:
I
refer to the Cook government's extraordinary $260 million
taxpayer-funded bailout of the insolvent and foreign- owned Griffin Coal
company; and, as at 12 November 2024, I ask the following.
(1) How much
fiscal drawdown of the $260 million grant has been directed to the receivers
and managers of Griffin Coal?
(2) On what dates
did the drawdowns occur, what were the specific amounts and for what specific
purpose or service rendered?
(3) Since the
appointment of receivers and managers to Griffin Coal, what is the total of
financial payments that have been credited to the receivers and managers for
their services, irrespective of whether the receivers and managers or staff
associated have changed?
