MEDIBANK —
HEALTH RECORD DATA BREACH
1113. Hon WILSON TUCKER to the Leader of the House
representing the Premier:
What support or protection is the
government providing to Western Australian residents exposed by the Medibank
health record hack?

AnswerView source ↗

You are in the wrong chamber, my
friend. I thank the member for some notice of the question. The commonwealth
government and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner are
providing advice and assistance for consumers
impacted in the Medibank and AHM data breach. There is currently no suggestion
that the compromised data contains any relevance to Western Australian
government credentials. The WA government will continue to monitor the
situation and engage with the commonwealth government.
