FIREARMS ACT — LAW REFORM COMMISSION REPORT
1173. Hon RICK MAZZA to the Attorney General:
I refer to the Attorney General's
statement of 10 May 2016 in regard to the commissioning of a review of the
Firearms Act 1973 by the Law Reform Commission when the Attorney General
advised that he had agreed to an extension of time for the final report to 30 September
2016.
(1) Has the Law Reform Commission
completed the final report?
(2) If yes to (1) —
(a) has the minister received the
final report;
(b) does the minister intend to table
the final report; and
(c) if no to (2)(b), why not?
(3) If no to (1), when does the
minister expect to receive the final report?
