I refer to the minister's
answer to my question without notice 866 on 20 September 2018 in which the
minister informed the house that the Department of Communities is aware of the
names, ordinary residential locations and school enrolment status of all child
victims identified during Operation Fledermaus and the Pilbara joint response
team.
(1) What is the number of names that
the department said it was aware of as at 20 September 2018?
(2) What is the current number of
names that the department is aware of?

There may be differences between Western
Australia Police Force data and Department of Communities information as the
Department of Communities information relates solely to children identified as
victims at a point in the investigation.
(1) The answer
provided on 20 September 2018 refers to Western Australia Police Force data, as
of 23 August 2018. At that date the Department of Communities was aware of 42
child victims.
(2) The Department of Communities is
not aware of any new child victims.
