I refer to the Home Indemnity Insurance (HII) Scheme is managed through Building and Energy, administered by QBE Insurance at a yearly cost of approximately $7million and the end of year financial figure that are sent to Treasury, and I ask : (a) Is there a requirement for Building and Energy to provide the relevant Minister and Opposition Shadow Minister of Commerce with an Annual Report for the Home Indemnity Insurance Scheme administered by Building and Energy so as to inform the Ministers and give them an insight into the WA taxpayer's exposure for the public’s liability and exposure to pay for HII claims; (b) If not, why are Ministers with the responsibility to manage the Commerce portfolio, inclusive of home building, not provided with these details of a HII Annual Report; and (c) What has been the annual cost to WA taxpayers for the Home Indemnity Insurance Scheme, for which the WA Government provides 100% reinsurance when there are insufficient funds in the scheme to cover claims?
