I refer to the Diabetic and Podiatry Clinic at Rockingham General Hospital (RGH) and ask: (a) how many FTE diabetic educators are currently employed and how many (if any) positions for diabetic educators are currently vacant; (b) how many FTE podiatrists are currently employed at the clinic, and how many (if any) positions for podiatrists are currently vacant; (c) what days are the clinics provided, and on these days what are the clinic opening hours; (d) how many times per week does an endocrinologist visit the clinic; (e) how many FTE registered nurses are currently employed at the clinic and how many (if any) position for registered nurses are vacant; (f) what was the total number of patients seen by the clinic for gestational, diabetic, dietary, adolescent, podiatry and endocrinology services in each of the following calendar years: (i) 2014; (ii) 2013; and (iii) 2012; (g) what was the total number of consultations undertaken by the clinic for gestational, diabetic, dietary, adolescent, podiatry and endocrinology in each of the following calendar years: (i) 2014; (ii) 2013; and (iii) 2012; (h) how many FTE staff were employed by the clinic in each of the following calendar years: (i) 2014; (ii) 2013; and (iii) 2012; and (i) are there any plans to increase the number of FTE staff at the clinic, if so please provide details?

(a) 1.9 full-time equivalent (FTE) diabetes educators are currently employed. In addition 0.6 FTE is being filled with casual staff.
(b) 1.0 FTE employed. There are no current podiatrist vacancies.
(c) Diabetes Nurse Education clinics
Monday to Friday (0800 - 1600).
Insulin Stabilisation Group
Tuesday morning (0800 - 1200).
Gestational Diabetes clinic
(commenced 1 June 2015)
Thursday morning (0800 - 1200).
SMaRT1E
(Self-Management and Review of Type 1 Education)
Monday (0800 -1600).
A group based program for Type 1 Diabetes patients specifically, facilitated jointly by a Diabetes Educator and Dietician, and provided quarterly for four consecutive weeks (16 weeks per year total).
Podiatry clinics
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (0800 - 1600).
Dietetic clinics
Monday to Friday (0800 - 1600).
(d) An Endocrinologist visits the clinic three times per week.
(e) All Registered Nurses at the clinics are employed as diabetes educators, see (a).
