DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND CONSERVATION — MARINE PARKS BUSINESS CASES
I refer to advice from the Auditor General that in order to secure the funding earmarked in the budget for the maintenance and establishment of the capes and Dampier marine parks, the Department of Environment and Conservation is required to submit a business case to the Department of Regional Development and Lands. (1) When was the business case submitted to RDL? (2) Will the minister table the business case; and, if not, why not? (3) Has the business case been reviewed by Treasury; and, if not, why not? (4) Does the business case have cabinet approval? (5) Page 826 of the budget papers states that the funding is coming from the regional community services fund. Is that correct? Hon HELEN MORTON
