DEPARTMENT FOR CHILD PROTECTION AND FAMILY SUPPORT —
FAMILY RESOURCE EMPLOYEES
1308. Hon SAMANTHA ROWE to the Minister
for Child Protection:
I refer to reports from constituents who have presented to my
electorate office in Belmont that the Department for Child Protection and
Family Support has experienced difficulty in arranging scheduled visits with
their children due to a lack of family resource employees.
(1) Does the
minister believe the current number of family resource employees is sufficient
to fulfil the department's obligations?
(2) How many
supervised visits were facilitated by the Department for Child Protection and
Family Support during 2013, and is that number on track to increase, decrease
or remain steady in 2014?
(3) How many
family resource employees were employed in each metropolitan district in —
(a) 2013–14;
(b) 2014–15; and
(c) 2014 to date?
