❓ Mr. Hyde questions the Minister for Culture and the Arts regarding the adequacy of $11.23 million allocated for maintenance of aging arts and culture infrastructure, seeking itemized costs and confirmation of sufficient funding based on current and future needs assessments. The Minister's response is vague, stating funding is allocated on a priority basis and assessments are underway.

In relation to the amount of $11.23 million which has been allocated over the coming four years for maintenance of aging arts and culture infrastructure, I ask:
(a) can the Minister provide itemised figures on the current costs of maintenance of this older building stock; and
(b) has there been any consultation or advice that this new allowance will be sufficient to meet current and predicted future needs and, if so, will the Minister table any such advice, and if not, why not?

(a) Funding for works is allocated on a priority basis, which varies from year to year for each building.
(b) The allocation is sufficient to address known high priority works. The Department of Culture and the Arts and the Department of Finance's Building Management and Works are undertaking assessments to establish the priority of works for future funding allocations.
