(1) - (2) [See tabled paper no.] The specified current and forecast population requested is limited by the availability of existing information. The current and forecast populations provided in the table are the closest available for the geography and years requested. The information available is based on:
- official population estimates are published using the Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS);
- Statistical Area Level 2 (SA2)
usually comprises two or more suburbs in the metropolitan region.
- WA Tomorrow forecasts for SA2s are prepared for five-year census intervals, ie. 2016, 2021 and 2026. The WA Tomorrow forecast horizon is 2026;
- all numbers have been rounded; and
- Estimated Resident Population figures are routinely revised by the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
