I refer to your evidence to the Estimates Committee on Thursday, 16 June 2011 in relation to TAFE colleges suffering from increased utility charges, and I ask -
(1) How will this be monitored as the Minister stated?
(2) As the Minister stated that necessary changes or shifts will be made accordingly, does this mean these colleges will receive more funding to compensate for the additional costs of utilities in much the same way that the Minister for Education secured some $20 million to help schools?
(3) If no to (2), why not?

(2) No
(3) The funding provided to STPs through the DPA is subject to annual indexation as approved by the Department of Treasury. State Training Providers have the capacity to shift funds within their overall budget allocation to meet cost pressures as required.
