The Report on Consultants Engaged by Government for the six months ending 31 December 2022 contains a heading ‘Hydrogen Industry’ and includes payments of $823,136 to four entities (Merz, PWC, Johnstaff and Vision Environ) by the Department of Jobs Tourism, Science and Innovation. On the assumption that the relevant responsibilities from this department transferred to the Department of Energy and Economic Diversification, can the Minister advise: (a) Did each of these entities complete the work for which they were engaged: (i) If so, when; and (ii) If not, why not; (b) Was a report provided to Government by each entity in draft and or final form: (i) If so, when; (ii) Will you table the draft and or final report from each entity; and (iii) If not, why not; (c) What was the outcome of the work undertaken by each of these entities; (d) If the work being undertaken by Merz and PWC is a continuation of the consultancy from the previous six months, or is it for new work; (e) Whether JDR, Thomas Halton and Johnson Infrastructure - who were included as entities in the previous six-monthly report as undertaking consultancies on the hydrogen industry – had completed their work: (i) If so, when; (ii) Can a copy of this report be tabled; and (iii) If not, why not ; (f) Whether the work undertaken by JDR, Thomas Halton and Johnson Infrastructure was satisfactory: (i) If not, why not; and (g) Whether the work being undertaken by Johnstaff and Vision Environ was different to the work undertaken by JDR, Thomas Halton and Johnston Infrastructure, and if so in what way?
