With regard to media advisers for various departments -
(1) Can the Premier advise how many media advisers work for him and his Department?
(2) Can the Premier advise how many media advisers work for each Ministerial Office?
(3) Can the Premier advise how many media advisers work for each Government Department, Board or Agency?
(4) In relation to the answers to (1), (2) and (3), can the Premier outline the cost to the State of these officers?

(2) All Ministerial Offices have one Media Adviser with the exception of the Attorney General (2), Leader of the Opposition (2), Leader of the Second Party in Opposition (1). (3) This information is not centrally collected. (4) The approximate cost of Media Advisers to the State for 2003/04 will be $1,754,000. This figure includes salaries, superannuation and workers’ compensation on-costs, and the cost of Departmental vehicles (less Government Vehicle Scheme contributions paid by employees).
