I thank the member for some notice of this question. In 2009-10 the Department for Child Protection will provide funding of $114 857 to the Shire of Halls Creek for the Halls Creek service for young people. In addition, the Department for Child Protection has advised that it has liaised with relevant commonwealth and state government agencies and local organisations to ensure that services are also maintained in Balgo, Billiluna and Mulan. The commonwealth Attorney-General’s department has informed the department that it has allocated $200 000, with $70 000 in grant funds carried over.
