The underspend for the 2025 WA Student Assistance Payment program was $885,000.
On 11 December 2025, the Department of Education paid $980 to 875 schools for the funds to be provided to their connected Parent and Citizens (P&Cs) and/or Parents and Friends (P&Fs) Association.
The remaining $27,500 was provided to the Western Australian Council of State School Organisations (WACSSO) to contribute towards direct support for P&Cs, including supporting regional members’ attendance at their 2026 conference.
