I thank the honourable member for some notice of this
question. I answer on behalf of the Minister for Education.
(1) No.
(2) To be negotiated.
(3) Yes.
(4) On 3 September 2012.
(5) The impact of
the MAX light rail proposal will be explored in 2013 through the development of
a site master plan for Balga campus. The master plan will examine the campus
infrastructure environment to optimise the positive impact of the light rail on
campus operations. In particular, improved public transport connections for
students and staff should reduce reliance on car transport, decrease demand for
the limited campus car parking facilities and reduce the campus's
overall carbon footprint. The master plan will also consider the potential for
improved public transport to increase the number of students wishing to train
at Balga campus and the capacity of the campus facilities to accommodate
increased demand.
