TOURISM WA — TRANSITIONING ARRANGEMENTS FOR STAFF
I refer to the transitioning arrangements for regional Tourism WA staff whose positions have been axed by the government. (1) What discussions have been held with other government agencies to date for those agencies to take on the functions performed by regional Tourism WA offices? (2) Have any agreements been reached to date with other government agencies to take on these functions? (3) Will additional permanent full-time equivalent positions—together with funding for these positions—be provided to government agencies that agree to take on the functions of Tourism WA regional officers? (4) The transitioning fund announced by the minister is capped at three years. Will government agencies that agree to take on the functions of Tourism WA regional officers be required to absorb these costs on the expiration of the three-year cap? Hon DONNA FARAGHER
