Minister for Transport:
I refer to the progress on the
Martuwarra Fitzroy River Bridge at Fitzroy Crossing.
(1) Will the existing two-lane level
crossing be retained over the 2023–24 wet season?
(2) Will the
minister provide a guarantee that heavy transport will continue to operate
across the Martuwarra Fitzroy River throughout the 2023–24 wet season?
(3) When will the bridge be open to
heavy transport?

the coming wet season. The new Fitzroy River Bridge is progressing at pace,
with demolition of the old bridge completed last month and piling for the
bridge now halfway complete.
