The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) advises:
(1)-(4) Sites for Career Fire and Rescue Service fire stations require careful consideration to appropriate land size, strategic vehicle access to connecting roads, proximity to key services, projected response times and must represent value for money. A suitable site that is capable of meeting all of these criteria has not been identified to date.
