HEALTH — ASSISTANT-IN-NURSING STAFF
349. Ms M.J. DAVIES to the Minister for Health:
I have a supplementary question.
Just so I can be absolutely clear, can the minister categorically rule out that
assistant-in-nursing staff will not be undertaking nursing duties because they
are not qualified or paid to do that, and that the Department of Health
guidelines specifically state that they are a complementary workforce and not
to be substituted for the number of nurses or midwives employed under current
workplace arrangements?
